CNN —Staff and visitors have been left stranded and buildings submerged at Kenya’s famous Maasai Mara nature reserve, as the death toll in catastrophic flooding in the country’s southwest rose to at least 188 people. Local authorities ordered some tourist facilities in the National Reserve to close after River Talek, one of the tributaries of the Mara River, burst its banks and swept through more than a dozen riverside tourist lodges and camps. In Maasai Mara, camp owners were told to leave the affected properties and “move to higher ground further away from River Talek,” governor of Narok county Patrick Ole Ntutu said on Wednesday. Parts of Maasai Mara National Reserve were left submerged by the flooding. Authorities said they had deployed two helicopters to rescue stranded tourists and local staff around the national reserve after receiving distress calls.

It is the smallest known whale of the extinct basilosaurids family, says the scientists' new study. The species is named "Tutcetus rayanensis," after King Tutankhamun, an ancient Egyptian Pharoah. Главный редактор новостного портала Hrodna.life Алексей Шота задержан в Гродно. Об этом в воскресенье, 30 мая, сообщила Белорусская ассоциация журналистов (БАЖ) в своем Telegram-канале. При этом на сайте издания указано, что к дому главреда подъехал микроавтобус, в который его препроводили неизвестные лица. Также сообщается, что Шота работал ранее на белорусском портале Tut.by, ряд сотрудников которого задержаны. Часть сотрудников издания, а также вдова его основателя Юлия Чернявская были арестованы.

Лукашенко впервые прокомментировал инцидент с посадкой самолета Ryanair в Минске. Он заявил, что сообщение о минировании поступило якобы из Швейцарии. Там связывали инцидент с боевиками движения ХАМАС, однако само движение свою причастность к этому отвергли. Лукашенко также отметил, что экипаж самолета якобы советовался с руководством компании и аэропортом в Вильнюсе. «3 человека вышли из самолета в Минске, чтобы не возвращаться из Вильнюса, но из них сделали фейковых сотрудников КГБ», – подчеркнул он, сообщает TUT.by.

Как сообщил Telegram-канал «Пул Первого», самолет посадили в Минске из-за поступившего сообщения о его заминировании, которое не подтвердилось. На борту летел редактор Telegram-каналов, признанных экстремистскими в Беларуси, Роман Потасевич. xКак сообщили изданию в пресс-службе Минского аэропорта, самолет приземлился из-за сообщения о минировании. Самолет в настоящее время успешно приземлился.
